In the past Brasil was a poor colony in economics but rich in nature. Only indians lived there.
The transfer of the Portuguese Royal Family to Brazil in 1808 brought very good development to the country.
In Rio, for example, the city grew a lot. Now there are many things , like better beaches and shopping malls, and it is one of few cities that had better development.
After this transfer the country improved a lot.
